Software Engineer - mobile experience (Omaha, NE)

We are growing our team at Bright Willow Early Learning and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be mobile experience. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about meal programmes into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with meal programmes. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
