Software Engineer - mobile experience (Oakland, CA)

Northwind Willow Community Partners is a Oakland charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our mobile experience. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about grant reporting into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with grant reporting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Oakland. • We reply to every applicant.
