Software Engineer - mobile experience (New Orleans, LA)

We are growing our team at Cedar Clear Telecom and adding a Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be mobile experience. You would join a small organisation of about 187 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about service installations into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with service installations. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
