Software Engineer - mobile experience (Indianapolis, IN)

Stonegate Sparrow Telecom is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for field visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 992 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about field visits into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with field visits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
