Software Engineer - mobile experience (Honolulu, HI)

Greenridge Bridge Transit Planning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for route schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 379 people based in Honolulu. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about route schedules into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with route schedules. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Honolulu, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
