Software Engineer - mobile experience (Hartford, CT)

Lumen Granite Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Hartford and nearby communities, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our mobile experience. You would join a large organisation of about 299 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about water quality into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
