Software Engineer - mobile experience (Hartford, CT)

Stonegate Sable Community Partners is a Hartford charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about food distribution into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with food distribution. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
