Software Engineer - mobile experience (Hartford, CT)

Highbridge Orchard Transit Planning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for route schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 90 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about route schedules into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with route schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
