Software Engineer - mobile experience (Dallas, TX)

Clearpath Quill Energy is an energy provider in Dallas focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our mobile experience. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about outage response into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with outage response. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Dallas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
