Software Engineer - mobile experience (Chicago, IL)

Northwind Iron Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Chicago, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our mobile experience. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Turn requests about device records into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with device records. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
