Software Engineer - mobile experience (Charleston, SC)

Greenridge Iron Community Partners is a nonprofit in Charleston supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about donor records into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with donor records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
