Software Engineer - mobile experience (Boston, MA)

Northwind Maple Community Partners is a Boston charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about volunteer shifts into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
