Software Engineer - mobile experience (Birmingham, AL)

Ironwood Clear Energy is an energy provider in Birmingham focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on mobile experience. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Turn requests about usage data into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with usage data. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
