Software Engineer - mobile experience (Baltimore, MD)

Redstone Lantern Learning Group Associates is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on mobile experience for school calendars, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about school calendars into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with school calendars. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
