Software Engineer - internal tools (Wichita, KS)

Rivermark Willow Insurance is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about catastrophe response into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Wichita, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
