Software Engineer - internal tools (Wichita, KS)

Ironwood Nest Early Learning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for licensing records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about licensing records into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with licensing records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
