Software Engineer - internal tools (Wichita, KS)

Bluepeak Quarry Transit Planning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for survey data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about survey data into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with survey data. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
