Software Engineer - internal tools (Wichita, KS)

Redstone Bright Community Partners Group is a nonprofit in Wichita supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about client intake into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with client intake. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Wichita. • We reply to every applicant.
