Software Engineer - internal tools (Wichita, KS)

Ironwood Quill Health Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for insurance authorisations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Continuing education is supported. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about insurance authorisations into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with insurance authorisations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
