Software Engineer - internal tools (Virginia Beach, VA)

Cedar Quill Health is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for patient scheduling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 46 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about patient scheduling into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with patient scheduling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
