Software Engineer - internal tools (Tulsa, OK)

Bright Drift Energy is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for meter readings, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Tulsa. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about meter readings into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with meter readings. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Tulsa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
