Software Engineer - internal tools (Spokane, WA)

Summit Ember Water Authority Partners is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about billing accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Spokane. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
