Software Engineer - internal tools (Spokane, WA)

Ironwood Cobalt Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Spokane and nearby communities. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Spokane, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
