Software Engineer - internal tools (Spokane, WA)

Rivermark Meadow Water Authority is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for water quality, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about water quality into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Spokane, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
