Software Engineer - internal tools (San Jose, CA)

Summit North Medical is a San Jose company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with complaint handling. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
