Software Engineer - internal tools (San Diego, CA)

Stonegate Summit Insurance Group is an insurance company in San Diego with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 46 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Turn requests about policy renewals into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with policy renewals. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
