Software Engineer - internal tools (San Antonio, TX)

Ironwood Pine Water Authority Group supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for San Antonio and nearby communities, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 138 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about treatment plant data into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
