Software Engineer - internal tools (Salt Lake City, UT)

Foxglove Willow Insurance Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 523 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Salt Lake City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
