Software Engineer - internal tools (Sacramento, CA)

Redstone Bridge Facilities is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for safety inspections, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 562 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about safety inspections into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with safety inspections. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
