Software Engineer - internal tools (Reno, NV)

Westbrook Pine Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Reno, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about licensing records into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with licensing records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
