Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Bright North Insurance is an insurance company in Colorado Springs with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about policy renewals into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with policy renewals. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Colorado Springs. • We reply to every applicant.
