Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Cedar North Early Learning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about enrolment into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Toledo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
