Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Rivermark Timber Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Denver, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about learning materials into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with learning materials. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Denver. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
