Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Silverline Ridge Early Learning Group operates neighbourhood childcare around Spokane, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with family communication. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Spokane. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
