Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Northwind Ivory Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Honolulu. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. Bilingual teams are common. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about customer sites into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer sites. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Honolulu. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
