Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Cedar Orchard Energy is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for outage response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about outage response into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with outage response. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
