Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Fernwood Bright Medical designs and makes medical devices in Baltimore, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about device records into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with device records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Baltimore. • We reply to every applicant.
