Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Harborlight River Community Partners Group runs community programmes across Louisville, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 106 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about benefits enrolment into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with benefits enrolment. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
