Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Redstone Lakeside Transit Planning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for survey data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about survey data into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with survey data. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
