Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Ironwood Cobalt Insurance Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for customer complaints, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
