Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Highbridge Junction Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Detroit, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about vendor spend into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with vendor spend. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
