Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Lumen North Insurance is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about catastrophe response into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with catastrophe response. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Tulsa. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
