Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Redstone Cedar Facilities looks after properties across the Des Moines region, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Turn requests about customer sites into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer sites. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
