Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Stonegate Willow Early Learning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We celebrate small wins and steady routines. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with enrolment. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
