Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Northwind Willow Community Partners runs community programmes across Hartford. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 132 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about client intake into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with client intake. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
