Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Bright Loom Community Partners is a Sacramento charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about donor records into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with donor records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
