Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Lumen River Learning Group is an education provider in Louisville serving students and families. We are hiring a Software Engineer to take on internal tools. Families are partners. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about attendance records into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with attendance records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
