Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Rivermark Amber Early Learning is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for family communication, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Minneapolis. • We reply to every applicant.
