Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Northwind Cedar Care Services supports families and individuals in Toledo with personal care and coordination, and we need a Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about family communication into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Toledo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
