Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Amberfield Harbor Transit Planning Group is looking for a Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about fare systems into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with fare systems. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
